Local director of Bayleys Valuations Hamilton, Matt Straka is a Registered Valuer, focusing on the valuation of a wide range commercial property and large scale residential developments (including land subdivision, terrace housing and apartment developments).

Registered as a Valuer in 2010, Matt is a "panel valuer" accepted by bank and non-bank lenders alike. He undertakes market valuations for a variety of purposes, rental valuations and insurance valuations.

Matt is well versed in undertaking complex Utility Interest assessments for unit titled developments and is often called on for his experience in this niche field. He also has a thorough understanding of and experience with compensation valuations under the Public Works Act and is a valued advisor to several District Councils.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Business Studies in Financial Economics and Valuation and is a member of the Property Institute of New Zealand (PINZ) and New Zealand Institute of Valuers (NZIV), where he Chairs the Waikato Branch Committee for both. In 2011, soon after obtaining Valuers’ Registration, he was awarded PINZ Young Property Professional of the Year. He is meticulous, clear and concise and prides himself on providing high quality and accurate valuation advice to his clients in a timely manner.

Matt has three beautiful young daughters, and in his free time enjoys the outdoors; mountain biking, scuba diving, fishing and all things automotive.
